London Calling

Well we have arrived safe and sound in jolly old England. 8 hours on the plane actually flew by - well it did fly by or we flew by but either way something flew by. Rhonda and I managed to catch a few winks, but Joey stayed awake the entire time, enjoying the British hospitality (two sprites, 3 apple juices, a couple of beers and and a couple of teas - ok no beer, but he did eat his and his mom's breakfast).

We grabbed a traditional black cab from Heathrow (always a nostalgic treat) then headed for the hotel. The Marriott Marble Arch is a couple of blocks down from the actual Marble Arch - which is ironic considering there is another Marriott across the street from the actual Arch and it is named something else. In the photo try and look at the right handside to catch a glimpse of Jesus tied to a cross (not the real Jesus of course, but real none the less).

We then headed back through little Persia towards the hotel ( I have never seen so many Hookah places) and grabbed dinner at a nice little Italian joint.

All in all it was a great day and the British Airways experience was outstanding. We have our bearings and need to get some rest to begin the big sight seeing adventure tomorrow.
