Well we started the day early as we had to board the train to Vienna. Luckily for us we were leaving from the same train station we arrived at so it was a quick cab from the hotel. Once on board we were in for a long day of travel.4.5 hrs to Prague and then another 4 hrs to Vienna.
There aren't any direct high-speed trains from Berlin so we had to grin and bear it.
The country side from Dresden straight through to the Czech border is amazing (the area around Bad Schandau is gorgeous). From here we passed through Prague and gained a entire group of American students to our car which made the ride even more interesting (mass confusion and chaos on their part).
As you roll on through the Czech Republic you definitely can see the need for some improvements (a little run down in places). Some areas were beautiful while others I wouldn't want my car to break down in.
You know when you have crossed over into Austria as the trains suddenly become bright and shiny and the houses are beautiful - along with the Audi's, BMW's and Mercedes.
We are now in the part of the journey where we take Rhonda out of the Marriott's and into the boutiques. The hotel in Vienna is a quaint little place right down from Stephansdom and has been around since the 1600s. The streets are very narrow and the Platzs are alive with cafes and restaurants.
There are also about 20 horse drawn carriages lined up outside the cathedral waiting to take tourists around -
We grabbed dinner at a great little schnitzel place and yes all 3 of us had it(I think this is Joey's 5th in 3 days). We are also entertained by a drunk who was harassing some people at a table down from us - never get tired of a guy telling the same stories over and over.

We hope everyone had a good Stampede and look forward to writing and showing more of this beautiful city.
