Well.....I am pleased to say that Joey and I enjoyed sleeping in until almost noon today. We were in serious need of some R&R. Yes...poor Jim waited anxiously for us to get moving!
Once we were up, we were off to Kurfurstendam (known to Berlin's residents as Ku'damm for short). I have to say that it resembles Champs-Elysees in some ways. The 3.5 km stretch has every store you can imagine. KaDeWe is the most impressive of all of the stores.

We stumbled upon a store (Look 54) with the most interesting t-shirts. I will leave it to you to read what they say (F**k the Crisis $$). I was dying to get one, but the boys informed me that I likely could not wear it once we returned home (definitely not to work...but maybe on the weekends....okay only in our house).
I did not get one in the end!!

And....in my continuing quest to find the best chocolate in Europe....I stumbled on Leysieffer. A very elegant chocolaterie on Ku'damm. I picked up a couple of chocolate bars (vanilla bean and a Kaffe one) and a small sample bag. I must say that these may be the finest to date.
Joey still loves the Valrona chocolate from France the best.

In the spirit of nakedness.... I have included a picture I took on the Spree the other day of these 4 fantastic statues sitting naked on the Friedrichsbrucke.
You see....this afternoon on Ku'damm, we were witness to a number of young men wearing only their best 'man thongs' running down the road with people chasing them trying to take their picture. It did provide us with some cheap entertainment, and a great laugh.
Jim and Joey took in the new Bruno move tonight. They thought the movie theatre was fantastic as you could reserve your seats, drink beer and order kettle popcorn.
And...yes, we continue to live on Wiener schnitzel and Berliner Kindl. I keep trying to encourage Jim to have one with the syrup (red or green).....maybe tomorrow.
Tomorrow, we have reserved a tour to Potsdam, and Jim is hoping we have time to go to Pergamon Museum.
